That, and Sugar Daddy was singing carols. Sugar Daddy has had a long time repugnance to Christmas music too early in the season.
I decided to make all new decorations for the house this year. I really wanted a fun childish theme.
A few weeks ago, we inherited a bear cookie jar that was given to Ben's dad when he was born. It is almost seventy years old and absolutely charming. It was my inspiration.
I call it "The Sweetest Christmas Extravaganza".

love, love, LOVE the mantle with dad's cookie jar! Just precious
ReplyDeleteI love all your paper decorations. How fabulous! I'm going to link. Your house looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteyour decorating looks awesome april - wonderful job :)
ReplyDeleteLove the decorations! You have inspired me to do something different. Year after year, I do the same thing. I feel liberated! And, I love the idea of the children have a "free" day from school. Thankfully, I had very healthy children who were allowed to occasionally take a "mental health" day off. What joy you will have with a baby Bird in the "nest" this year not to mention a delightful little boy. Ummm, and I'd love to be a gift recipient with those great flowers!
ReplyDeleteHello :) I love your decorations.
ReplyDeleteWill you post your pattern on how to make the Silk flower buttons ? and the beautiful wreath please ? (or just send me a email :) )

April, I love you but I HATE your mantel. Let me tell you why. I thought mine was looking pretty darn cute and then I saw yours! It's waaaay cuter. Mine looks like a really lazy attempt. How do you do it? Your still my personal Martha, Aprah!
