the true meaning of fall

Fall is really all about the fashion you know. People will try to make you believe that the secular holiday's like Halloween and Harvest are really what it is all about. But around here, we believe in a higher meaning.

It's about fashion people.

Fashion.

This is Birdie's "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, double chin and all" pose.

Oh my how I do love tights.

i really can't sew but...

Yesterday while the boy was at school I made this little pilots cap for Amelie. I had a cap from Hanna Anderson that I used as a rough pattern. I cut up an old t-shirt of mine and sewed it all together in about an hour.

I must say, for a girl who stinks at sewing, I think it turned out pretty dang cute.

Please excuse the weird little potpourri ball I used to model the cap. It was the only thing in my house, except for a rotting grapefruit I found in the bottom of the fridge, that was about the size of a baby's head.

Now for a baby to put it on. . .

bella sera baby- "favorite thing" #7

I'm not sure if my good friend Amy (mom to twin girls) is going to thank me profusely for this post, or be really angry that I have, once again, urged her to spend oodles of cash on irresistible clothes for her daughters. What can I say? I'm dying here. If I can't spend money on a daughter of my own, then I will coerce others to do so. It's my way of staying sane while I wait.

I can only imagine how cute my china doll would look in this!

And this.

And she must have this.

Bella Sera Baby was founded in 2002 by mother of two, Courtney Lupe. When Lupe was pregnant with her first son she could not, for the life of her, find any baby accessories that were both functional and stylish, which forced her to make them herself. Before she knew it, she was making them special order for friends and then complete strangers.

"I pride myself in offering a stylish alternative to the pastel wonderland of baby fashion by providing a line of goods that are full of life and personality." -Courtney Lupe

Bella Sera Baby is a must see shop. Click on over and pick out something for your cutie pie. I have the blanket in the first photo and I can tell you, it is great quality. You won't be disappointed with any purchase you make.

Okay, okay, I know all you moms with munchkins are waiting with baited breath to see what Courtney is going to give away. Well, here it is. Leave a comment to be in the drawing for the "Sherbet Mod Mini". It is available in sizes 2T, 3-4T, and 5-6. Don't forget to cruise through the previous posts for more "Favorite Things" giveaways. All drawings will be open until Dec. 15th.

Oh and Amy, you can pick up a second, coordinating one, for only $28. You'll thank me later I'm sure.

a big orange crush, oh i mean bang. a big orange bang

{collage by jek in the box}

Well here we are one day away from October. I sit here writing and blinking in disbelief. When did time speed up? Where was I?

I'm thinking we need to start the month off with a bang. How about a give away? How about TWO giveaways? Sheesh! I wish I had a friend like me who was always giving stuff away.

Okay, I'm ready to send out these little hair pins to anyone who leaves a comment. I make hair accessories in my spare time. Have I ever told you that?

These little darlins will snaz up a bun in no time. I call this set "Fancy Schmacy Fall".

Also, Holly from Winklepots is poised and ready to ship this fun pair of candy corn pony bows.

Holly is an accountant turned mom/children's designer. She has two little bambinos that run around while she creates hand painted children's clothes and little curly bows.

Please leave a separate comment for each item you would like to win. The winner will be announced on Thursday morning.
