okay. fine. damnit.

I've been running pretty regularly for the past year or so and I am nigh to shed a pound.

I'm a whole lotta pissed about this.

Evidently my three and four mile runs aren't cutting the mustard, or in this case, the fat.

So to that I say, okay. Fine. Damnit. I have officially upped my mileage. It's a major pain in the butt to try and work longer runs in around Birdie's schedule. I'm going to have to get creative.

But it's worth it. I've either got to lose ten or buy a new wardrobe. I can't take the pinch any longer.

A,
I think what you need to do is shake things up. Try this: 1 long run, 1 tempo (fast) run and one track workout a week. This will change things up and "surprise" your body and possibly shock your body into the change you would like. I don't have all the answers, but just a suggestion. I feel like I've learned the hard way so I like to share the stuff I've figured out that works, with others. I blog about it http://www.dreambig-lorie.blogspot.com/

I have nothing to say about running, except that I need to get off my arse and get started (I'm 3 months post-partum). I just wanted to say that I LOVE your blog! It made my day. I've been struggling a little owning the SAHM thing and you make me want to relish in it. Yay for you! I'll be back fo sho!

Hi there, take a look at Franklin at "Panopticon" ....it may or may not, teach you how to knit better, but you will get a good laugh.

Love the little Birdie ! her eyes are amazing.

K girl - I need someone to push me past my 4 mile mark. I keep runnign with Molly and using her as an excuse as to why I can't go further. After all she is just a little yorkie - she only has so much stamina. I will pretend that I go home at 4 miles simply to save her. I will ignore that she is still chasing birds at mile 4 and I am huffing and puffing. Mud run anyone???

Why do we berate ourselves with the 10 lbs? I do the same. And I run, too. I just finished reading Chi Running by Danny Dreyer. (check Amazon, the link was too long).
I love his idea of the run being a meditation.
Anyway, pat yourself on the back for taking the time to take care of yourself--that's not easy with little ones to care for. Oh, and give a pat for getting rid of the sweets in the fridge!

oh, and my goal is to not eat while blog surfing. That could be why I am two weeks behind in blog reading!

Did you know that 80% of the way you look is determined by your diet?? I switched to "Clean Eating", and lost 15lbs in 3months so easily :) Good luck to you!
