wet ankles

I'm banking on the assumption that most, if not all, of my readers are women. Not once have I had a comment from a man. Then again, maybe the men are a little too macho to leave a kiss, kiss, hug, hug, exclamation point sort of message somewhere.

Anyhow- I would like to share a little pet peeve I have about womanhood. Wet ankles.

You know when you are out in the woods and you have to go, so you hike a ridge or two or three to make sure no one sees, then you squat, freak out because you heard a sound which you are sure is a snake and without fail you end up with wet ankles? I hate that.

How about when you are trouncing around the wilds of your local shopping mall and you go to the women's room only to be meet with revolting filth? Of course if there is a Nordstrom's you can find a clean bathroom, but the other ones are very sketchy.

Need I mention gas station bathrooms? Gas station bathrooms with a small daughter that has to go? Ewwww. It makes my skin crawl.

Ladies I have found a solution.

Basically, Go Girl is a little plastic device that you can use to stand up and go, like a boy. It is disposable and small enough to fit in your purse. I could try to explain the system myself, but if you click on over to Go-girl.com you can get the full scoop.

I spoke with Sarah Dillion, the President of Go Girl, and she said that since they released their product in January the response has been amazing. She is getting calls from around the globe.

The promo crew has been bee bopping around in the Go Girl Mini promoting the product and having a ball.

Here's the deal.

If you leave a comment, you will be in the drawing for your own Go Girl to try and a Go Girl t-shirt. Two winners will be picked.

Here's to cleaner, easier bathroom breaks.

One thought though:

You may not want to go in a stall next to some other girl. It might freak her out to see your cute little pumps or flip flops facing the toilet. The last thing you need is to be arrested and frisked by some mall cop.

Winners will be announced on Friday!

Hahahaha!!!! I can think of a trip or two overseas where that would've come in VERY handy. When the Go Girl founder created it, did she tell the world that she had a "tinkling" of a good idea? Or did she think the idea would amount to "squat"?

I don't just love the concept, I love the plethora of bad puns that it lends itself to.

this is fabulous! Not only do wet ankles suck, but the odd wide-squat-while-pulling-pants-away-from-body-and-trying-not-to-tip-over sucks too.
I would love to try a Go Girl!

I have heard of variations of this all the way back from 2002. Never tried it though. Nice packaging!

I've seen a more ghetto variation of this product for years, but I would actually use this sucker! Think of the pain spared camping...or at a concert...or tons of other places! Whee! Pick me please :)

I love this giveaway! Camping or hiking is not my favorite thing due to the "wet-ankles." I think this little invention could get me back out there! I want a GO-GIRL!

Wow! That would have come in handy while I was peeing in small holes in the ground in China! I quickly learned to roll up my pant legs. SPLISH SPLASH!! ;)

I seriously think that is so cool. That would be nice to take when your camping Ü

What a great idea! I think the guys have it so much better in this department. It's about time something was invented to help us girls go on the go!

Well I hope that I am one of the first men to leave you a comment. Let me tell you a little pet peeve that i have,(as a man when I have to go) so there you are at the urnal, thinking that you have finished to the very last drop. You put the little soldier away and OOOOPS he still has more to say. Then you have that uncomfortable wet feeling dripping down your leg. By the way i love your post and your family, hope to see you guys soon.....

It’s a fun idea but I think I would still prefer to squat. Not only is squatting good for the thighs, I would probably forget to bring the darn thing with me. But to everyone else...you go girl.

best idea ever!!

I would very much like to try this! Though I must say, I'm always equipped with a small bottle of room spray and sanitizer so I leave dirty bathrooms a lot nicer than when I find them. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do ya know?

Me and my husband would joke about getting a plastic jar and keep it in the car as our "portable bathroom" this actually exists!!

I'd like to try it and buy one for my mom and the females in the family! they will love it!

Thanks for sharing this.
